First cold Snap of the year....Brrrrr

ALPACA BULKY YARNS

Alpaca is soft, light-weight and luxurious to wear. I love it .  

  I have spun the alpaca straight off the beautiful beastie 

with no washing, no carding(combing). no prep at all. Then I spun some blended and carded 25%possum75%/polworth wool.  The alpaca was a much chunkier yarn. When I was plying them together I randomly stuffed in some bits of  raw silk, cut lengths of commercial silk and some olive green carded Polworth wool. Polworth is very fine wool, very similar to Merino

Hand-spun, coloured alpaca fleece, plied with cotton yarn.
